What requirements do my drawings need to meet?

Basically, we can process any kind of sketches and drawings. However, if you would like to use our competitive rates, drawings that you wish to convert, need to meet the following requirements.

If you have deviating drawings, sketches or requests that do not fit within the ‘standard’ ordering procedure, you can contact us directly for a custom quote.

How does the ordering proces for Funda plans work?

The ordering procedure:

1. You provide us a complete contract (see directives)
2. We will send you an confirmation of receipt
3. Within 2 work days you will receive an e-mail from us with a link to the plan
4. You verify the plan and provide any comments and remarks
5. If corrections need to be implemented, we will implement these
6. After your approval, we will provide the plans as a file, together with the invoice.

How can I upload my plan to Funda?

After we processed your drawing or sketch of a house or plan, we will e-mail you a file. That file can be linked to the presentation of the object on Funda through the Funda Desk. If you require assistance in linking the plan file, you can contact Customer Service if you are a broker.

If you are an individual, we refer you to your broker to link your house plan to your house presentation.

What software does Drafting Factory use to draw?

Drafting Factory draws in several kinds of graphic software. The selection of the drawing software depends on the commissioner and the destination of the drawing.

For the plans on Funda, we use the Floorplanner software. For visualizations and 3D presentations, we use Cad, Google Sketchup and several other kinds of 2D and 3D software.

It is possible to pay on credit?

Yes, you can pay on credit with us, if you create an account, and if your request to pay on credit is authorized. Creating an account is reserved for companies registered at the Chamber of Commerce.

If you are not eligible to payment on credit, you can still use your services. You can pat an order directly, currently only through iDeal, but in the near future also by creditcard.

What is the advantage of creating an account?

There are a number of advantages attached to creating an account.

1. No payment per drawing but per month with a specified invoice
2. Access to your online customer portal and file cabinet with an overview of orders placed
3. More efficient communication on progress of contracts

How will my drawings be returned to me?

You provide us your scanned drawings. Our final product is a digitized drawing in the format of the drawing software that you selected. For Floorplanner or Funda, that is a .fml file. If you have a visuzalization or other kind of drawing made, we will always provide you the digital file and, if agreed, the associated images.

When providing a drawing contract, you can mention your special wishes during the ordering process.

What if the drawing isn’t right the first time?

As soon as we have finished the drawing, we will always ask for your approval. For commissioners that have an account, we’ll do that through our drawing portal. For customers that make use of our drawing service against immediate payment, this will done by e-mail. If you have any changes following our delivery, you can notify us and we will implement these.

Are there any costs associated with changes?

When drawing and visualizing we will always assume the information provided by you. If, based on this information, we make wrong interpretations or if other imperfections turn up in a final delivery, we will correct this free of charge. However, it is also possible that you did not provide all information required or for other reasons have new information that you would like to included in a plan drawing or object visualization. In those cases, Drafting Factory will charge additional costs.
